I beöieve Bitcasa is fantastic. But I still have horrendous (u spell it llike that?) batteryconsumption on my S3. So terrible I just cant have Bitcasa-app installed at all…
I will try this new uppdated version and hoping for the better!

Hey Marcus – we fixed a number of battery consumption issues in the latest release 1.1.0 – let us know if this fixed your issue. If not, please submit a support ticket so we can help diagnose and fix! Sorry for the inconvenience.

You guys need to hire a good UI/UX designer. Look at the brilliant job Dropbox did.

(Minor blog issue) Trying to reply here using Twitter or Facebook account ends with certificate mismatch. “You attempted to reach blog.bitcasa.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.wordpress.com.”

Yes. Now Bitcasa is alot better. I love it. i have tested some clouds like dropbox, wuala, drive, skydrive… but i will stay here. Send any folder on my PC to the cloud is the ultimative killer-feature (…like wuala)

Buzzkillington here: it’s worse than it was before. Would it be possible to revert?

    • Dheeraj says:

      Just go to portal.bitcasa.com

      • Adam says:

No luck. It redirects to the new my.bitcasa.com.

Was there a beta invite for this new UI that I missed? It seems like it’s kind buggy as well. Also, is there a place that I can leave suggestions? I love Bitcasa and I would like to help improve the interface.

I see functional improvements, but seems like you guys have no taste in the design.

    Hi,
first i got to say that the offer is truely appealing and leads web services in the right way : offer better products.
Then i got to be honest and must be tell you that global first impression is not so good : i detail below :
    - main site “pricing” page sometimes leads to a 404
    - linux legacy client : well done to think about not mainstream OS and to allow an non-finished client
    - (following previous) good job to provide installation commands
    - (again..) repository has IP restrictions preventing from downloading client (forbidden IP from Ubuntu Quantal apt-get) : no client download :(
    - i found an alternative portal on this blog: cool, i suggest that “beta” must be put somewhere visible to prevent deceptive comments about the design and overall quality judgements (design is personnaly the last i care about and that should not be directed by users imho, unless we want to end with a “so original” blueish theme) and make it public : previous interface seems outdated a bit (all (fonts, buttons seems like oversized .. to me at least)

I can’t test a client atm (linux) so i’ve been trying web ui
    - i’ve guessed to drag and drop a file to upload and it seems to work (still uploading..) however it was a guess : no clear indications on how to upload : i’m a geeky end-user, it should be made obvious.
    - the “upload” button/infobox : open another tab to “Photos” section while uploading to “Videos” : no more uploads informations :/
    - personal recommandation: “Uploads” infos should be make more dynamic and always visible (optionnaly allowing “hidden state”) to prevent the “my DVD backup never got to my account!” sort-of complaints. You know the beliefs that some people have that transfers are instantaneous ;)
    - in “Photos” : open an album “Sample- Puppy”: no more “hide_grid_list_toggle” ? :/
How can i delete just *one* pic if i wanted ?
    - don’t assume a click on a movie is for playing it: i may just want to downlad, or just see details (file infos) while in preview mode.
    - Sections: should not be “set in stone” : just put some default with editable name.Yes, i understands it complicates versions tracking…

That’s all for my today review ;) and i repeat that this offers, while still in its early phase, is one of the most interesting related to online storage that i’ve seen due to pricing, storage capability and OS/clients support.
However, it may not come as a surprise to say that is not looking finished nor robust.
    Last but not least :
    Provide a bug/suggestions place/forum to improve feedback.
At the very least add a “report a bug button” right on the UI.

Keep up the good work ! :)

    P.S.that’s a very long comment/reply, sorry for that :)

Hi, when do you plan to release a stable version? I am trying to use bitcasa for a while but the bugs crashing my computer are endless…
    as an example:

    1) When transfering a high number of files bitcasa often gets stuck in a file, send a message that this file can not be copied into bitcasa infinite drive and then there is no way out… tryed to cancel the copy, close the dialog box but nothing works…
    2) Many times after initializing bitcasa the windows explore will not work properly, getting frozen
    3) Many times bitcasa will not exit… just stays there saying exiting forever…
    Thanks

    Joao

  11. At this time it appears like BlogEngine is the preferred blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?

  12. iamnut says:

With all these negative comments, I just wanted to say great job. I happen to like the way the interface looks and everything seems to work just fine for me.

  13. Hi, i feel that i noticed you visited my web site thus i got here to return the choose?

  14. always i used to read smaller posts which as well clear
their motive, and that is also happening with this post which I am reading now.
